Where did you grow up and where do you live now?
I grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut and currently live in Brooklyn, New York.

What's your "day job"?
A pro barista who makes the best latte and cappuccino in town.

Tell us a little about your hobbies, inspirations and favorite artists/comic creators/writers:
Right now I am a cartooning major at the School of Visual Arts in New York. When I'm not working on my art, I spend most of my time going to concerts, hunting down the latest fashions and talking to my friends over the phone or online.

I love exploring the city and discovering new places, and am inspired by a blend of alternative music culture, Japanese pop art and anime and ornate Victorian prints.

What's your work process like? Any interesting trivia?
I spend most of the year preparing for the convention season which rolls around in the summer. I began self-publishing my comics at the age of 16 and continue to draw and print all my own books and artwork.

I am a big light box user and everything I draw can go through anywhere from 4-14 separate drafts before it is actually committed to paper with ink and then colored digitally.

Just to let you know, I actually followed your advice in the rockstar hair comic. I chopped it all off and got it all rockstar-ish. When people ask where I got the idea, I say, "Oh, well, there's this webcomic artist..."
