Where did you grow up and where do you live now?
I grew up all over the place! I was born in Boston, MA, then lived in Rochester, NY, Stuttgart, Germany, Chicago, IL, and back to Rochester for high school. I now live in Brooklyn, NY.
What's your "day job"?
I work for an animation studio, Little Airplane, doing design work for an animated preschool show that airs on Nick Jr. called "The Wonder Pets."
Tell us a little about your hobbies, inspirations and favorite artists/comic creators/writers:
My hobbies include watching bad scary movies, doodling constantly, reading, snuggling with my pet rabbit, Oswald, and not cleaning my apartment.
My inspirations include a large cup of hot coffee, handmade things, little kids, squirrels in the park (what are they up to?!?) and conversations (mine and the ones I overhear).
My favorite artist types: Maurice Sendak, Egon Schiele, L. Frank Baum, Jim Henson, Oscar Wilde, Tim Burton, Tom Wolfe and Charles Schulz.
What's your work process like? Any interesting trivia?
The only comics I read as a child were in the Sunday paper; I was never into graphic novels or any comics, never even thought about them until college when I took a sequential art class hoping to learn something about storyboarding--instead I discovered comics!
For me, comics married two things I loved: writing and drawing. But my first love is children's books and my goal is to publish my own children's book someday. More trivia about my work process: I always keep paper by my computer to doodle on, even at work, so if I am waiting for something to open or download I do a little doodle. That's where the majority of my ideas come from.
How can someone get in touch with you or see more of your work?

I love your comics! They're so funny, always bring my spirits up, and I can relate to all of them so much. And I'm the only kid, too. =]

I love how your comics are both humorous and deep. Excuse the rude comments some girls write, I honestly think it's because they're shallow thinkers.
