hey im a bass player. but i think jokes specific to instrument are funny. hes not being serious. hes just mocking stereotypes. there are many amazing bassists out there like cliff burton :)

ROFLMAO! Each and every page of this comic made me laugh very hard! I loved it! Now I want to start a band! Hahaha! Thanks for the funny comics, dude!

this actually made me laugh out loud... defintely something i'd do with my friends even though we're in 3rd year university - then again i'm reading comics on gurl.com so i guess it's not that surprising...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but andrew hasn't made a comic in what seems like forever. I miss having a guy's opinion on things. It makes things more interesting. I miss it. Screw "a comic you control", bring back Mr. Andrew Lin!

:) cute!

fUNNy!

I forgot to say:

Ellie, I agree with you. Of course there's basses who can't play, but real bass takes talent, time, and dedication. Anyone who doesn't believe that there are good bassists, go youtube 'Les Claypool' & 'Victor Wooten' right now. They got talent, and lodes of it. I should know, I play bass (not very well, mind you, but I've been playing for about a week).

LOL i am/was in a band. we are/were 'the bunnies' (originally 'the playboy bunnies', changed when we realized we were 12 year old nerds with bad fashion sense, glasses, and no ability to talk to boys), and consist(ed) of me (the self appointed bassist) and my best friend charlene (the singer). we only made it to impress guys (didn't work), and had one song about some guys slutty girlfriend. It is/was awesome. I actually have a bass now & I'm learning to play it, so maybe the bunnies will become an actual band instead of two perverted, caffeine rattled nerds trying to impress the boys.

This comic was so cute! :))

I love all of your comics, keep up the good work! Cheers!

XD I totally loved this, so much lulz :]

I love all these comix XD

:D

<3

Ah,careful though. There have been some truly awesome bassists in the past, and female ones no less (like Kim Deal in the Pixies! ^_^)

Hahaha this was so effin funny! And sorry to break it to you ellie, but usually the bass player ends up being the person who doesn't know how to do anything, hahahaa. This comic is so effin true. :D I want to make a band soon and play lead guitar.

The ONE thing I don't like about this is the panel on the bass player, Ben. I don't know what it is that gives the bass the rep of requiring zero effort. Maybe the fact that it's usually not prominent? Hmm...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I was in a band in my middle school!

It was my five best friends. I was the drummer, becuase my inspirations were Suzette Quintinilla (Selena's sister and drummer) and Chad Smith for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

We had one band practice and a fight on the first day. Maddie was the guitarist, and she got mad at our keyboardist, Sierra. I don't remember what over, though.

Oh yeah! And our band name was Crowning Towers, but the front woman Lauren said it's "Crown Towers" because she had the notes we had written in class.

Either way...we still sounded like a hotel chain. Ugh...brr...*shiver*.

HAHAH!
that was totally awsomee.!
haha, i started a band right after! ;p

hahaha i love it keep up the amazing work

LOOOL

looks a little like me ex-bf's band. =P

they spent moths without a drummer. finally, a guy like... almost ten years older than them that lived in the neighbourhood offered to play and drive them around. LOL.

but well, I guess they're doing fine now.

"More importantly, he had a drumset". Lol!!!!

ROCK!!!
I laughed at just about every panel of this comic. Especially the bits with Adam. "Adam had the biggest ego.... he would become the lead singer" XD

It reminded me a lot of one of my friends who was always going on about forming a band. I went along to a couple of their 'band practices'; they basically all played different songs at the same time as loudly as they could and watched music video on our friend's laptop, until the maths teachers up on the top floor complained about the noise. They never actually got any songs together.
Good times indeed.

Great Idea! I'm gunna start one right now!!

luv it, been in 2 bands and the one im currently in is doing rly well. awesome comic

LOLL
love this comic.
im currently in a band with my brother and my childhood friends, but we're having a hard time finding drums... and a drummer!

that's cool. i wish i had a band though... *sigh*

Haha this is exactly how my band went, 'cept we broke up even before we did any gigs XDDD

I like your comix ;-)
