Interestingly, some of the comments on this comic prove that many girls have enough difficulty coming up with something nice to say to their own gender.
I liked it. :-) Plus, I think the drawings are cute. Though I agree with some of the people before me - in a way, mentioning academics has actually scared away more guys in my life than silence/an awkward statement.

I have the same problem right now! I'm super shy, and I really really like this guy. He's a sophmore and I'm a junior. But we're like the same age almost, b/c I'm younger than my grade. Anyways, I have no clue what to say. So I brought up Algebra 2, (his book was right there), of all things!! But then he started to ask me about my classes, so I guess it worked. But now he's moving back to Colombia, and I've been moping around the whole weekend. Oh and did I mention he doesn't speak English well. What is a girl to do?

Hmm. I liked the art, and Liz, what does going to art school have to do with it? It's not like going to art school all the sudden makes you a good artist or not. It's all about viewers' personal perspectives. Anyway, I didn't really connect with the comic though. I don't really get nervous around people I like. I can be socially awkward, but it's just part of my character. I prefered the reality in the comic, rather than what she thought would be ideal. I don't know. Social awkwardness makes it fun, if everything was perfect and we always said the right thing it would be boring. AND personally I find awkwardness veryvery cute in girls and guys. c:
