eversince i got my nose pierced, ive been wanting more piercings! but when i told my mom that i wanted to get my lip pierced (i was gonna say something bout snakebites too but that wouldve pushed it), and she basically said 'ill beat u if i see one on you'. but, come college time, i might get my lip pierced. the holes close up ne ways.

Oh god I can remember when I had my ears pierced, it hurt even after six months! In the end I had to take them out and let my ears heal, even then when I took them out I SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAMED!!! LOL never again.

I love this comic. I love to get piercings, even though I'm only 15(24 days till my birthday). I just got my 3rd hole in ech ear and a cartilage done in one ear. I'm already planning my other ones and am planning to get a tattoo in college.

uh, aren't industrial piercings the most painful? i dont understand how you could be a "wuss" already having the industrial piercing done previous to the lip piercings...and then afraid that the snakebites will hurt.

thank you so much for making this! I really wanted to get a lip peircing in the future but my freidn was all like "They are SO easy to get infected and they hurt sooooo bad you shouldn't get them". I don't why I believed her... she doesn't even have snakebites! But I'm not going to get sankebites, I'm too afarid It'll hurt more than I can stand the first time so I'll stop and be lopsided! I'll just get on in the middle of my bottom lip!!

I've momentarily thought about snake bites but I'm more down with just a single lip piercing, and maybe a tongue piercing but definitely a nose ring. Currently, I have four regular earlobe piercings, and when I turn eighteen in January I plan on getting a tattoo on my shoulder blades of angel wings and maybe my lip piercing, cartilage and nose.

Thanks for mentioning the importance of cleaning because a former best friend of mine got an infection from not cleaning the cartilage well enough. She learned her lesson the second time when it came to her nose ring. Hahaha.

this comic was awesome! the guy measuring out the placement of the piercings was funny...I MUST HAVE PERFECTION!! mwahahaha ^_^ i have a tattoo on my lower back, my name in persian calligraphy (my name's persian), i have a ton more planned though...once i've saved up enough money (tattoos are one thing you should NEVER get a bargain on! never never EVER). as for piercings, right now i just have one in each ear :( but i want more in my ears and i'd like to get my navel pierced as well, and maybe my nose. oh and kudos to kiki for pointing out about safety precautions and being responsible about piercings, that's uber important. the experience should always be a positive one ^_^

I'm 18 and I have 5 piercings {not including my ears} and a tattoo.

My tattoo is my zodiac sign, which is Aries and it's purple! ^_^

I have my left eyebrow, right nostirl, belly-button and spider-bites done!

For those of you who don't know what spider bites are, they are like snake bites, but instead of 2 piercings on opposite sides of your bottom lip, they are 2 right next to each other on your bottom lip. My spider bites are on the right side of my lip.

I deff want hip surface piercings but I heard the reject easily. T_T But come christmas time, if I still want them bad enough, I may just give myself an awesome christmas present. ^_^

This was a good comic and it's true that you need to wash your piercings well, the only time my lip hurt was the second it was pierced, and when it had swelled up and I accidentally hit it.

And if you are planning to get any part of your face pierced, make sure you go to a good piercer!!!

I previously had my labret done, but I took that out cause it was off-center. The guy who did it was hung-over, over 20 minutes late and dropped the piercing!!!

So make sure you go somewhere good and take care of your piercings! ^_^

I don't have any tattoos or peirings at all, but I like to think that makes me stand otu considering the fact that I'm the only girl with non-pierced ears. If I did ever pierce, the last place it would be was around my mouth, but it's your body and your choice, and hey, it looks good on you.
But, uh, next time, try getting a tattoo/piercing cause you want it for YOU. Don't try getting one to please your ex boyfriend. I mean, why care about what he thinks. He's a loser for dumping a cool person like you anyway.

As someone who has some big tattoos and a few piercings I thought that comic was really cute and I enjoyed the realism a lot, but I'm not going to lie, the whole point of trying to toughen up for the boyfriend was sort of sad. Screw that asshole, I can guarentee he's not worth it anyway. All of you should enjoy you're piercings for what they give you, not do it for anyone else.

Ive always been a little leery of piercings, because when I had my ears done (when I was six or so), I developed a skin condition on my ears, and for years I thought it was from something on the guns... It wasnt until later I found out that it was psoriasis and the timing was coincidental. Since then Ive been thinking of getting a couple extra ear piercings, Ive thought of getting some tiny snakebites on my upper lip, but my dad's threatened to disown me if I do... So Im looking to get a tattoo instead. (And not something random either, Im desiging it with the help of my artist friend, and it has a very deep personal meaning... Besides looking cool. Two words: Winged-Medusa, and Snakes.)

Haha. I love the part where it says, "no kissing for a few weeks." Because, I definetly just got my lip pierced and I made out the day I got it pierced. Hahaha. Aren't I wonderful? I do love the comic though. It really isn't all that painful. It gets a tad bit sore. And the piercing does feel like a shot. I just took deep breaths and I happened to be zoned out when he pierced it.

I think that piercings and all body modifications are expressing who you are and its wrong to get something permanent or something that could potentially harm you just to impress some stupid ex. i have 2 piercings besides the regular ear piercings and they make me feel like myself. =]
