that's just me watching tv in general (we don't have sci fi, we're way too cheap)
specially with the laser and english one. thst's why everybody hates watching tv with me.

P.S. BS about wormholes or not, faster than light travel is not possible, period, stephen hawking says so, end of story.

In star wars, WHY THE FUCK DID THEY PUT THE SHIELD GENERATORS ON TOP OF THE STAR DESTROYER, YOU KNOW, IN BIG EXPOSED GLOBES!?!?!?!?!? But anyway, this is one more reason stanley kubrick is awesome.

i do that too

I yell at the TV like that allll the time.
I'll be like "NOO!!! THAT'S NOT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE DAMMIT!!!"
it annoys the crap out of people lol

Can we be bestfriends??

...From the side your hair looks like the tenth Doctor's. It's rather distracting. Why yes, I watch Doctor Who, why do you ask.

Wow, you really know your sci-fi don't you? Cool talking cat by the way LOL

HAHA! lovely ^_^ poor tuna lol

Just one question: if you have no suspension of disbelief, what's with the talking cat? ;)

I know what you mean and why do all aliens (practically) look like humans!! AHH!
I still love sci-fi though :D

And if you think Rachel's rant was bad you should hear my bro sometimes. I learnt to ignore him and when he says "What do you think?" I'm just like "Uhh...?"

Cat

hehe, I agree with a lot of that, there are things that wouldn't happen, the fighter craft probably wouldn't explode in such a fiery manner (larger ships how ever probably would if they were built for oxygen based life forms and therefore had massive oxygen tanks for long journies)
And the chances of a virus infecting humans, or anything on our planet, is minuscule. You have to consider that unless it's like one of those bacterial infections that hurt you simply by taking up room, no virus could infect us, they'd have to be carbon based, they'd have to have double-helix genome, and they'd have to have a genome similar enough to ours to affect us. Finally, they'd have to get past our natural cellular defenses, which attack any RNA structure that doesn't look like it belongs (and an alien RNA structure almost certainly wouldn't get past the tests, our viruses have had trillions of years and the entirety of earth's evolution to keep pace with our cells, so they're adapted to us) Taking into account the vast difference in elemental composition of different planets and the raditation given off by different stars, it's unlikely (though not impossible) that everything would hook up right for a virus to actually be able to infect our cells.
The rest is absolutely correct.
^^ sorry for the wall-o-text, but I love sci-fi (especially hard-science fiction like Larry Niven who actually bases his fiction off of actual fact and theory, see his book, Ring World, soooooo goood)and I couldn't resist.Coming up with alien technology based some-where in fact rather than pure fantasy is a bit of a hobby (along with unification theory, philosophy, gaming, and story/comic writing/reading)

wth

Tell me you've read the Hitchhiker's Guide! :D
