For every Tolkien or Rowling, there are hundreds of terrible fanfics and even published material that is just...terrible. I don't care to read all the risque scenes but I like reading stories of a couple falling in love and dating and holding hands and dancing and stuff like that. I love reading romance novels and I'm not afraid to admit it and although the stereotypical petite female with fiery passion is finally tamed by a gorgous hunk always twitched my annoyance I found that I could easily turn a few things around in my imagination and make the story even better than it was on paper!!! Thats probably why i love reading more than movies and such as its easier to adapt to my own personal liking!! ahhh imagination what a wondrous part of evolution (Wait do animals have any imagination?) Tried writing endless romance novels but they all come out really corny and rubbish (its really hard to get a hunky guy to fall in love with an intelligent, asskicking, no nonsense woman, makes them feel intimidated!)

As for the romance novel, I gave up on writing one of those long ago, so don't expect this to see print any time soon. Hmm, I've read a few of my Aunt's romance novels, but they were kinda wierd in my opinion... Then again I was always turned off by the really muscle-bound men on the covers.
