great comic...i'm jewish and i totally get it! isnt it funny how they think that they're being PC wen they say "happy holidays" and then have a huge tree in the room? i also am annoyed with how they think that they're being PC by giving us a 4 by 2 shelf of hanukkah stuff in the store...lol.

Hi Lauren,
Your comic is cool. I really like latke boy and I agree that christmas can be seriously overpowering at times. Most cultures have a festival during the winter and it's really not for anyone to say that any one is better or worse. That's just silly.
Oh, and you don't want a tree. After two weeks they drop spiky things on the floor and smell funny.

Tiara,
I know that you probably just misunderstood what Lauren was trying to get at in her comic. In the early part, she was saying what she used to say in the past, not representing the views she currently holds. She doesn't think that christmas is evil, but when she was younger, she was in a situation where almost everyone around her was getting excited about things that she didn't have, which can be hard for a kid to understand. As she got older, it was still frustrating that christmas was everywhere, after all, haven't you ever developed christmas fatigue because of carols playing in the shops from november on? It must be a lot worse if you don't celebrate it.

As a christian myself, I'd just like to remind you that if you are truly celebrating christmas you might want to demonstrate a little peace and goodwill towards all mankind. You might want to start by apologising for flaming without due care and attention. Just a thought.

And as for the rest of you,
Happy Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chanukah, Yule, Saturnalia, Winter Solstice, Eid-ul-Adha, Hogswatch or whatever else you may be celebrating in the next few weeks.

Now now now, let's not start witnessing all of the non-Christians. I feel that this is true. What about the people who celebrate Chanukah and Kwanzaa, and Winter Solstice, and all the other winter holidays that get overshadowed by Christmas? What do they think when people say Merry Christmas? And by the way, Tiara, I'm an agnostic, YOU SUCK! On behalf of the author I'm Jewish, YOU SUCK! Oh my goodness! To those of you yelling at the artist about this comic...what is your problem? This comic is totally accurate as to how many people feel about Christmas! Not everyone is Christian, and you need to accept that. You say Christmas is the best holiday of the year - yeah, for YOU it is, but for people who don't celebrate, it's not! She's making a valid point - you're just being closed minded. She never bashes Christmas or Christians, she's just expressing her feelings!!
